Richard's Bagged Element

Richard Tse, from South Florida, is not your average enthusiast. His natural edge for the VIP lifestyle is evident in his elegant 2009 Honda Element SC, a.k.a. Miss Daisy.
This is not Richard’s first attempt taking his inspiration to polish up the look of a Honda Element, though. His first was a 2007 SC with 20” Work Meisters. Although he loved this first work of art, he was starving to build something different, something that he could build solely for himself. After getting a look at the 2009 SC, he was sure that this would feed and refine his inspiration.
Purchased in 2011, Richard spent approximately one and a half years with Miss Daisy to get her geared up to her current state. Miss Daisy has factory navigation, rearview camera, voice command, and integrated iPod hookup, making this Element to be a little bit like Heaven compared to his last.
Starting with some basic mods, Richard cut the bumper reflectors and installed LED lights. After finishing these mods, he kept her stock for about a month. Still in possession of the Work Meisters and the Tein basic coilovers from his first Element, Richard was hesitant to put them on because he wanted to create a different look. After aimlessly researching for the right fit, Richard got impatient. He was then inspired by an Element owner in Japan to use a stiffer spring and revalve the rears to handle the additional spring rate. While waiting for Tein to send his coilovers back, he decided to powdercoat his Work Meisters gloss black. He was later disappointed to find out that the place who did his “powdercoat” actually used paint.
Once the Teins were ready, Richard headed to Marco at Billet Design for some lowering; coilovers and wheels were added at the same time. He knew it was going to rub, but did not expect it to rub that much, so he took a grinder to the rear fender lip, taking off about an inch. Richard then nicknamed her “Miss Daisy” because he had to drive “sLow”.
Additional mods included adding fog lights and a spoiler, then painting the grille, rear tailgate lip, and front middle lower bumper portion gloss black. One obstacle he faced with the mods was his headlight retrofit, changing it about 5 different times without satisfaction. Although he is still not satisfied, he is pleased with the level of expertise and skill of the professional retrofitters.
The biggest obstacle he has faced, however, was the suspension. Richard kept up his research and found that others used suspension designed for an Acura Rsx (dc5). He then ordered his struts from Marshall at Airrex and had them installed at East Coast Garage in Tampa by Doug. Wanting to keep the car as utilitarian as possible, he retained his trunk and spare tire through the install process. Now being content with her current stance and planning to keep her “sitting pretty” for a while, he has a few projects in mind to bring her to the next level.
Richard’s current project is a 1972 VW Bay Window Bus. Although she could use a bit of TLC, his excitement is exuberating with the thought of generating a feeling of nostalgia for some. Otherwise, he already has a color and theme picked out and is ready to have some fun. Richard was also excited to share about his dream car, a Porsche Carrera GT. When asked why this is his dream car, his response was, “Have you heard that thing rev?”
Richard is a frequent visitor to www.elementownersclub.com and www.elementalmotorsports.com for inspiration and to share a mutual love for Elements. Unfortunately, because there is no significant aftermarket support for Elements, he does not have a “go-to” site for parts.
Richard would like to give a shout out to: Chief and the Elemental Motorsports Crew, Marcus at Five-0 Films, Doug at East Coast Garage, and his girlfriend, Erica, for her patience and understanding with his car projects.
Currently playing in his headphones is the Pusha T, Drake, and Eminem album, but he does love to listen to Kid Cudi!

Alexandre's STI

Alexandre Michaud is the proud owner of this 2011 subara STI all the way from Saint-Georges, Quebec, Canada! Starting with the basics, Alexandre began his build by lowering the car on coilovers with some wheels. As a typical enthusiast, he lowered the car some more (because you can never be too low) and added the front and side lips, as well as a Magnaflow catback. His initial modifications took just 1-2 months!
What is next? Since an enthusiast is never satisfied, Alexandre is looking into some air suspension, a Catless downpipe for a complete TurboBack, a Ecutek tune, a front mount intercooler, and a cold air intake. With so much already completed, Alexandre still has quite a ways to go before he is fully satisfied with his ride! When he finally finishes his build, future projects may be a Nissan GTR r35. But of course, his dream car is a Lamborghini Gallardo because he has always loved the shape of the car and would love to have a twin turbo kit on one!
Favorite sites: Alexandre loves to surf andy's autoparts, hottexhaust, ebay and also visit his local shop for parts and inspiration.
Shoutouts: Special thanks goes out to: Jimmy Boily (Mindsoul Production ) for the photos (video coming soon), E9 ride for the events and Meets, his family and his girl (Claudia), his friends Gooby, Jed, and B-brown, the city of Miami, the Vossen Team for what they did with his Audi Q5 and a BIG thanks to Kevis at StanceMiami!

We bring you coverage from our very own StanceMiami Meet. Held at EliteRoads in Fort Lauderdale on May 4th 2013, the StanceMiami Meet was our first of many events that we plan on doing. This event included food trucks, $40 alignment specials, live DJ, giveaways, etc. We expected to fill the EliteRoads property with cars, but about 2 weeks before the event we realized it was going to be way bigger than we anticipated as people from all over south Florida showed interest in attending. We ended up packing the parking lot, and 3-4 blocks in every direction around EliteRoads with hundred of cars and thousands of people. I've been told by many that this is maybe one of the biggest meets held in Florida. There was great diversity in the cars that came out from rat rods, euros, jdm, domestics, exotics, rucks, and everything in between. Also, we had lots of good, quality builds out there. We are so thrilled it was a huge success and want to give shout outs to our sponsors/partners/vendors who came out to support. Vossen Wheels, Signature Customs Wraps, K3Projekt, Underground Euros, Ibe Stamped, Dipworks Inc., Rodspeed, XO Luxury, Ruff Racing Alloy Wheels. Last but not least huge shout out to EliteRoads for helping us host our first event. Don't worry, we have something else in the works...stay tuned and thank you all for your continued support. Video coverage COMING SOON...

Steve's Mazda Speed 3
Photographer: Joey Newcombe

Photographer: Joey Newcombe Written: Ariel Mulchan
Steve Strickland, from Tampa, FL, has worked hard on creating his vision for this 2007 Mazda Speed 3. In the making since 2008, Steve had the incitement to drive his daily like he had never driven it before. His goal? He wanted a rarefied ride that he could enjoy inside and out.
Steve has been working on the car piece by piece and, like any true car enthusiast, isn't sure it'll ever be completely done. The work wasn't easy, though. With limited pickings for this car, Steve was challenged to find and install parts that would be adequate no matter what direction he took with the build. Additionally, Steve faced the specific challenge of finding balance between efficiency and horsepower due to the car's DISI direct injection fueling system.
Favorite Car: Steve doesn't have a favorite car, but says, "I love all makes and models. I would have a hard time picking just one if I had the money to build or buy it." Steve's favorite sites for parts and inspiration are www.streetunit.com, www.mazdas247.com, and www.mazdaspeedforums.org. At the moment, Steve has no current plans for the Mazda Speed 3, but instead is focusing on his wife's GS300. Steve expects this build to be done by next year sometime and hopes to move on to a third build as a personal project.
Shoutouts: Steve would like to thank: Cullen Mariacher and the entire SURE motorsports crew for all their help with his performance needs and knowledge of the platform, Randi Bentia of PAS magazine for all the audio/video equipment and opportunity to display the car at formula D WPB, Matt Meisenbach, Bill Hock and the staff at MCOR automotive for the top-notch work and craftsmanship they put into the SONY install, as well as all my friends who helped with installs and part swap outs throughout the build.

Luis Vivas from West Boca Raton brings us this '05 Nissan 350z. Since the age of 16, Luis started saving up for his future ride. Two years later, the perfect Z fell right into his hands.
Overcoming obstacles with the help of his family, it was finally possible to start the building process. Luis had to work countless hours and, at times, 2 jobs to save up for all the parts and wheels.
This Z has a look that any car enthusiast would be happy to gaze at. Inspired to make heads turn, Luis chose these stunning Work Rezax's and added his own mods. The amount of hard work invested into a project is always evident in the final product and this Z proves it! Well done, Luis.

Oh So Shiny

We bring you this sweet IS350 from JR Panganiban of North Miami. When JR was shopping to replace his E46 M3, he just wanted a sedan that was Japanese(reliable), automatic (so his family can drive, if needed), and something that already looks sexy stock. But, like everyone else, the mod bug bit him and he could not stop modding. Since he started he had only one goal in mind, and that was to use nothing but JDM parts on this car. He wanted to put his own twist on modding, making it sporty while keeping it classy (SportyVIP.)
JR says,"This car doesn't have many performance parts available so there is nothing much I can really do. However, I want to go on air someday. In 2 years of ownership I feel like I have done a lot and I don't want to go too far, as I don't want to get bored with this car. I love this car."

And of course a big shoutout to my crew FortuneMinds, you guys are awesome."
