We bring you coverage from our very own StanceMiami Meet. Held at EliteRoads in Fort Lauderdale on May 4th 2013, the StanceMiami Meet was our first of many events that we plan on doing. This event included food trucks, $40 alignment specials, live DJ, giveaways, etc. We expected to fill the EliteRoads property with cars, but about 2 weeks before the event we realized it was going to be way bigger than we anticipated as people from all over south Florida showed interest in attending. We ended up packing the parking lot, and 3-4 blocks in every direction around EliteRoads with hundred of cars and thousands of people. I've been told by many that this is maybe one of the biggest meets held in Florida. There was great diversity in the cars that came out from rat rods, euros, jdm, domestics, exotics, rucks, and everything in between. Also, we had lots of good, quality builds out there. We are so thrilled it was a huge success and want to give shout outs to our sponsors/partners/vendors who came out to support. Vossen Wheels, Signature Customs Wraps, K3Projekt, Underground Euros, Ibe Stamped, Dipworks Inc., Rodspeed, XO Luxury, Ruff Racing Alloy Wheels. Last but not least huge shout out to EliteRoads for helping us host our first event. Don't worry, we have something else in the works...stay tuned and thank you all for your continued support. Video coverage COMING SOON...

Get ready to switch your gears and rev your engines! This is one for the books!
Ron Marchini all the way from Clearwater, FL has been working on this one-of-a-kind 2000 Acura NSX for two years. His main focus was to build a functional car that he could take to the tracks to compete with newer sportscars, all while maintaining show quality.
When Ron originally purchased the car in Rhode Island, the Comptech supercharger already installed made one unforgettable ride back to Florida. Ron added CCW Classics, worked on improving the horsepower, Brembo brakes, and Comptech suspension; recent upgrades include a new front lip from Shine. Ron also plans to get a TypeR hood to boost the downforce and widen the front fenders. Ron Marchini spent a lot of time, money, and effort as he pushed to get the results he was looking for. His most used site for parts during this build was Science of Speed. And, with an exquisite outcome like this, it's no wonder Ron doesn't intend on building anything else in the near future.
Dream Car and Why?: "The LFA, because I think it represents the best car that Japan has to offer...just like in 1991 when the NSX was released."

Miguel's AWD GS

Miguel Morales, from Miami, FL, always had a vision for the 2006 Lexus GS300 AWD. Ever since he laid eyes on this model, all he could see was potential and the mods his hands couldn’t wait to get to work on.
When Miguel finally got the keys in his hands, his vision started to flow. Within two weeks, he already had the windows tinted, installed HIDs, vent visors, and a roof rack. Talk about getting down to business, but Miguel wouldn’t stop there!
Over the course of 9 months, Miguel worked hard to create his vision for a daily driver that would turn heads. He added a lip kit and coilovers, but the hardest decision was the type of rims. Miguel wanted an aggressive and unique look and had to pick just the right set of rims to carry his vision. Finally, he found the perfect set of Varrstoens.
Overall, Miguel’s build was simply following where his vision was leading, but I think we can all relate, at least in some way, to Miguel’s obstacle of financing his build. There is always a bigger, better, sleeker part to order, install, and customize. But thanks to www.l-tunedparts.com, his friends at Rodspeed, ClubLexus forums, Lexus Boys, Gloss house, and his lovely girlfriend, the vision came to life.
Dream Car: Miguel’s dream car is a Porsche Panamera Turbo because “It's the complete package with looks and performance.” However, he plans to get to work on a 4th Gen Supra after finishing his Lexus. Future modifications to look forward to include a Fujita Short Ram Intake, Tanabe Medalion Touring Cat Back Exhaust System, Invidia Midpipe, and Artisan Spirits GS Front Grille.

Steve's Mazda Speed 3
Photographer: Joey Newcombe
Written: Ariel Mulchan
Photographer: Joey Newcombe Written: Ariel Mulchan
Steve Strickland, from Tampa, FL, has worked hard on creating his vision for this 2007 Mazda Speed 3. In the making since 2008, Steve had the incitement to drive his daily like he had never driven it before. His goal? He wanted a rarefied ride that he could enjoy inside and out.
Steve has been working on the car piece by piece and, like any true car enthusiast, isn't sure it'll ever be completely done. The work wasn't easy, though. With limited pickings for this car, Steve was challenged to find and install parts that would be adequate no matter what direction he took with the build. Additionally, Steve faced the specific challenge of finding balance between efficiency and horsepower due to the car's DISI direct injection fueling system.
Favorite Car: Steve doesn't have a favorite car, but says, "I love all makes and models. I would have a hard time picking just one if I had the money to build or buy it." Steve's favorite sites for parts and inspiration are www.streetunit.com, www.mazdas247.com, and www.mazdaspeedforums.org. At the moment, Steve has no current plans for the Mazda Speed 3, but instead is focusing on his wife's GS300. Steve expects this build to be done by next year sometime and hopes to move on to a third build as a personal project.
Shoutouts: Steve would like to thank: Cullen Mariacher and the entire SURE motorsports crew for all their help with his performance needs and knowledge of the platform, Randi Bentia of PAS magazine for all the audio/video equipment and opportunity to display the car at formula D WPB, Matt Meisenbach, Bill Hock and the staff at MCOR automotive for the top-notch work and craftsmanship they put into the SONY install, as well as all my friends who helped with installs and part swap outs throughout the build.

Ivan Mejia from Ft. Lauderdale, FL spent about 4 years building this 1994 Honda Civic EG6. For Ivan, this build has been in the works since he was 14 years old when he saw an older man driving one just like this. His mind began racing with ideas of what could be, and what an appeasing feeling to finally live the dream.
For now, Ivan has pacified his Civic dreams, but may have plans to do a K Series Swap and paint the car over in the future.
Ivan's favorite place for parts, ideas, and research are SKUNK2 and VMS RACING. Although Ivan has been dreaming up this build for quite some time, his dream car is actually a Porsche Panamera. Special thanks for this build go out to Ivan's girlfriend and friends.

Luis Vivas from West Boca Raton brings us this '05 Nissan 350z. Since the age of 16, Luis started saving up for his future ride. Two years later, the perfect Z fell right into his hands.
Overcoming obstacles with the help of his family, it was finally possible to start the building process. Luis had to work countless hours and, at times, 2 jobs to save up for all the parts and wheels.
This Z has a look that any car enthusiast would be happy to gaze at. Inspired to make heads turn, Luis chose these stunning Work Rezax's and added his own mods. The amount of hard work invested into a project is always evident in the final product and this Z proves it! Well done, Luis.

The time finally came for Hot Import Nights to roll around to the amazing city of Miami! On September 29, 2012, the StanceMiami team attended HIN to bring our supporters the best coverage of the night. Thousands of people attended this event and it definitely did not disappoint. Before entering through the doors of the Miami Convention Center, you could feel the suspense of what was to come. Intense, upbeat music and shiny, fresh wheels proved you were in the right place. With all the cars in the showroom looking their best, the bar was set high for all the competition titles. With HIN's venue going to 15 states all over the US, this show had Miami's presence written all over it. Slammed, Tucked, or Flushed, Miami's cars are simply show-stopping. All the car enthusiasts I had the opportunity to speak with all agreed that they enjoyed the simple fact that there was so much variety at this event. From old school Datsun's to the amazing GT-R Godzilla, HIN turned out to be an awesome experience. We hope you all enjoy.

Not only does this week's car have flawless looks, but also impressive power under the hood to say the least. This car is definitely worth putting time, money, and hard work into, which is exactly what Juan Razuri from Pembroke Pines, FL has done. Razuri's '08 Infiniti G37S took about four months to build.
"I wanted something elegant, classy, and aggressive at the same time. It's a car that would satisfy any car enthusiast because of the way it looks, the way it drives, and the different ideas that can be applied to its model."
With so many options these days, deciding which route to take for customizing your car is always something to think twice about. Nissan's luxury brand does not disappoint when it comes to giving you a perfect canvas to paint. Razuri noted that with the color and body style of this car, he had to be very careful in what parts and modifications to go chose.
"We had many options for the car....It was a whole process when it came to the point of making the final decision."
This feature not only brings you a well-done build, but the presence of professionalism is very present in this car. RodSpeed was a huge part in the making of it, and we really enjoyed featuring this car.We will first show you a photo of the car when it was a blank canvas. We hope you all enjoy it!

Honda enthusiasts are a curious bunch. The moment a person embarks on their quest to modify their Honda, they almost instantly become hooked; it's almost like a sickness of some kind. Even though every car enthusiast has their own opinion, everyone can appreciate a clean 8th gen Si.
Four years ago, Jovannie Quiles from West Palm Beach, Florida became the first owner for this '08 Honda Civic Si. Garage kept until 2010 with 17k miles, Quiles tried experimenting with several wheels while choosing springs for suspension.
"
After a while, I started to see the stance game go crazy, so I decided to go that route with the Si.
"
Quiles took about 3 months to finally get wheels and full suspension on the car, and the stance look he was going for was finally complete.
"
After the build I started to go to several car show events at Palm Beach International Raceway and people showed me a lot of love for my Si, but with that love came plenty of imitators. Now seeing a lot of these cars built the same way, bigger plans are to come in the near future.
"
There's no doubt that most people have their preconceived notions about civics. But despite whatever prejudices you may or may not have, this car has curves anyone can appreciate. I like to think of it as a clever mix of performance and unique styling that stands out anywhere. It's the unique things that people do to their cars that get attention and respect. Well done, Jovannie!

We bring you Mike Tolliver's 2000 Honda Odyssey all the way from Seattle. Let's check out his story...
"So after buying Rotiform's A8L and driving it all winter the gas prices here in Seattle skyrocket to highest in the nation . Around April I started to look for scion xB to drive a bit more that the Audi. I’ve got two little girls I take to and from school each day and this leads to a lot of stop and go traffic. I started a hunt for a 2005 scion xB in white. I wanted a xB simply because I’m an early water-cooled VW guy and I have seven sets of 4x100 wheels that I want to utilize more."
"After a search up and down the west coast I could not find an xB to my liking or price. I was even willing to fly my buddy Paul to LA to drive one back. Well I started to look at other cheap used vans, there were a lot on the market. I noticed the Hondas seems the be the best taken care of, and this is Seattle ,there are hundreds of these body style at the local mall at one time.
"My craigslist ad alert went off the phone, one was just posted 2000 Honda Odyssey 150,000 miles , local and $3000 bucks . I emailed and called like crazy but no answer . A day later after looking at some other vans I got a call. The owner realized he had a hot ticket and upped the price to $3500 since he had 42 email within the first hour. I was one the first. I told him , 3500 cash if he can meet me in the next 20mins . A quick drive and I gave $3500 to Paul and left to get my kids from school. Later that night I drove her home."
"I put on car shows like PNW Springmeet, TheOldSchoolReunion , StanceWars , Tailored Seattle , Crafted Fitment , and many others so I’m looking for rig that take a lot folks , gear and booth stuff the event. This van does that and gets 30mpg."
" Dave Meister , Paul and I were talking . “you should bag it “. Knowing that I had the money and resources I did it. Bagriders helped us source the parts and we created a few one off parts. After the next event we all were talking again during beers and Dave and Paul and we decided to wrap the van, and if I was going that far we might as well source some wheels."
"Few weeks later after another one of our events all the parts were in house. New Telas Gray wrap and a set of vintage wheels. Then Paul’s fun started , one week to wrap and tear the van down before Slammed Society FD. Long days , some long nights and we had the wrap completed for the show. Its not fully done , but its what we had planned. All panels telas gray and pillars are black alligator . Now back to the suspension."
"Paul needed to rebuild the current struts to get the frame to meet the ground as planned. After some new inserts, some welding, and a small trip to the machine shop we had what we needed. A fast install and Paul was off to work while Dave and I cleaned up and fixed some last minute things. If you park on 2x4’s you can lay the frame past the wheels we found. Kind of an old mini-truck thing, but hella cool. It’s a must to air-out otherwise the kids can’t open the van auto sliding doors!"

We bring you this gorgeous 2005 Acura TL owned by Bi Nguyen of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
It was a pleasure shooting this one of a kind stanced TL because of the detail and thought that went into this build.
Nguyen's original goal was "to have nice looking daily driver," but after discovering the art of stance, he decided to take it to the next level.
Nguyen first started with coils, wheels, and the A-spec kit Like anyone stancing something.
He was happy for awhile with what was done, but then he caught stance fever once again and wanted to do more, and thus the result before us which includes some body work for that wider fitment.
When asked what his future goals with the car are, Nguyen simply answered "interior and super charger". Personally, we can't wait to see what big things he has in mind!
